Maserati MC12 – Fifth Gear, Used & Abused (…in a good way)

Some people buy exotic super cars for the looks; others buy them for the prestige. Some people, however, buy super cars for one reason: to drive them. The video you are about to see features a Maserati MC12 piloted by Frank Mountain, a millionaire real estate property developer and the definition of an exotic car enthusiast. The problem (which you will soon see for yourself in the video), is that Frank is attempting to drive this Maserati race car with over 600 horsepower on a track covered with snow – hardly the conditions for such an exotic machine.
Driving the powerful car on the track does make for some good entertainment though. Te car struggles for traction, and while we don’t want to spoil any surprises let’s just say that learning the limits of your newly purchased exotic car on a snowy, wet track may not ideal.
Not that anyone who owns an MC12 is too concerned with gas mileage, but the car (before being driven on the track) was only doing 5 mpg. We suppose that if you’re forking out over $1 million (in today’s market) for this amazing car, then the trips you are going to be making to the gas station to fill up won’t bother you too much.
Because we’re sure that the video below will tickle your fancy, we’ve decided to gallery of pictures of the MC12 along with YouTube videos. Enjoy!
Memorable movie quote, when talking about the MC12 dirtied and scratched from snow and icey roads.
The fact of the matter is that the car is meant to be used. I think it makes the car look meaner. What’s the point in having a car that just sits there all gleaming [and is never used?].

Ouch… That poor MC12. At least it’s being driven for what it was made for though
