When 700HP Isn’t Enough – Underground Racing Lamborghini Aventador Twin Turbo
Posted on 10. Jul, 2012 by Conner in Automotive, Lamborghini
There’s no doubt that the Lamborghini Aventador is a technological masterpiece. With it’s V12 engine, 0-62mph time of 2.9 seconds, and a top speed of 217mph, the crew at Underground Racing decided those numbers just weren’t good enough. Once UGR got their hands on the Aventador, it was goodbye scrawny, 700hp engine and hello twin-turbocharged, 1200hp beast! After conquering road blocks set in place by Lamborghini to limit aftermarket add-ons, UGR has managed to create one of the fastest supercars on the road today. The TT Aventador has been given a new Quickshift transmission upgrade and was recorded doing 0-60mph in 2.2 seconds on stock, OEM tires with normal air pressure on regular roads. While a top speed has not yet been published, we are assuming it will shatter the 217mph record. Underground says their twin-turbo system is available through them for purchase. To keep other tuners from knocking off their system, UGR has kept pricing and certain specs confidential, but we will keep you posted as other details are released.
