A spiral cellar is watertight, pre-cast cylindrical system that’s sunk into the ground, it can be located anywhere from kitchen to conservatory, workshop to study. Do You Need A Wine Cellar?
Making the investment of building or buying a wine cellar depends on numerous factors, including but not limited to:
- How much humidity is in your home – the ideal level is 70%
- How soon you plan on drinking your wine – if your wine is a long-term investment, do not store it in places visible to the sun, or places that are hot and excessively humid
- The temperature in your home - 70° F will work for most wines you intend on drinking in a short period of time, but for wines that are investments the ideal temperature is right above 50° F
